There is a Northern empty stock working most weekdays York-Newcastle and return 5Z01,5Z11,5Z02 and 5Z12. I assume this is for crew training purpose. However Northern to the best of my knowledge do not operate any services between the 2 cities. Any ideas

All the Harrogate-Kings Cross services have been reinstated today. I saw the 9.36 departure in Harrogate station today and it comprised of a 5 car bi-mode Azuma 800202 and 5 car electric 801109. I have never seen a bi-mode and an electric coupled together in Harrogate even before the lockdown...

For the past few weeks the Harrogate to Leeds service as been every hour been the through Leeds to York service. This week the Leeds to Knaresborough shuttle has started every hour giving an 1/2 hour Harrogate to Leeds service. Any ideas why this should be as the trains are nearly empty.
Anybody know if there is a regular exchange of units possibly 158's between these 2 Northern Rail Depots by using an evening Leeds to Knaresborough terminating train which then runs empty to Heaton via York
