I'm no expert but I think you're worrying about a problem that doesn't exist.
My experience is that you purchase tickets through the app on your phone, not the web site. When you purchase them is not relevant. The validity of the ticket is determined by when you go through the gate with the...
Are you sure what you're telling people is correct ?
Sure, you can add passes to Android in the same way as with Apple. The problem is that someone has to write those mini-apps and I don't think there is one for Paris. I certainly can't find one. Let us know if you really do have a Paris...
I have exactly the same problem, but using a Samsung Android phone. All I want to do is to make one single journey Gare du Nord to Gare de Lyon.
I have downloaded the Bonjour RATP app, but it then told me to download the Tickets sans contact app and then suggested I might need the My Navigo...
Thanks to you both. I actually found that option myself and it does look like it works. It's nice to have confirmation. As Lxd2 said, it's 3km+ to Centrale and (per Google, so not 100% reliable) the buses are hourly so it'll need a taxi ride, but that's fine.
I should be able to get the...
Thanks.
The current plan is to cross the Straits with FS (using our Interrail pass). I think we'll probably stick with the current plan and for the reasons you cite find somewhere in Catanzaro Lido to stay if we do miss the connection.
It's such a near miss though. With IC Intercity #562...
Thanks for the update. It explains what I'm seeing in planning a September 22 trip from Messina to Bari.
Right now (because of the diversion you mention) I could change into IC 562 (Villa San Giovanni - Reggio di Calabria - Bari) at Lamezia and do the journey with one change.
If I look at the...
I think the 2016 illustrations have been overtaken by the OPDC Local Plan (mid 2022).
The planned bridge is not a footbridge, it's a new road (Old Oak Street). It's planned to run from the front of OOC station across the Mildmay lines (and the entrance to Old Oak Common station) and then...
I'm very interested in the siting of the platforms at Old Oak Common Lane* station and of the Mildmay platforms at the same site (which I assume have to come at some time in the future). It looks to be 'on the edge (literally)' whether there will need to be compulsory purchase of land. The...
For the second time the forum has opened my eyes to possibilities that I hadn't considered. Thanks.
I'd assumed that the old Gotthard route was now a 'diversionary' route with a minimal passenger service. Anyway, based on the current timetable it looks like both the Old Gotthard and...
I want to do the Milan - Switzerland journey in daylight (for the scenery) and the day is going to end on Eurostar to London. I had considered changing onto the Lyria at either Zurich or Basel. Since this is a holiday trip with my better half, the fewer changes and more relaxed boarding at the...
It's a Sunday. Sorry not to make that clear.
It's overnight in Milan, so two days from Lecce to London via Zurich. It's the length of journey that made me concerned to make sure I get to Milan as early as possible. With your input and the other input that the FrecciaRossa don't restrict IR...
That's what I tried... except, I didn't !! I clicked Railcard instead of Rail Pass. Thanks for persevering with me.
Thanks both. It's really the Lecce - Milan leg that I was concerned about since there's only (I think) one FrecciaRossa a day and we're changing in Milan rather than staying...
Thanks for your detailed info, but can Interrail bookings really be made on raileurope.com ? I can't see how.
Did you pick up that I'm travelling on an Interrail pass? I thought that there was an Interrail quota on many trains so that non Interrail seat could be available after the Interrail...
Genuine question. Where have these been documented ? I follow this fairly closely and have never sen such plans. Really interested if they have even been made.
I’m planning a trip to Sicily and Apulia in September using a 1st Class InterRail pass. I’ve checked The Man in Seat 61’s advice on booking and reserving seats. The information out there on how far in advance reservations can be made is very vague and I’d appreciate any info on people’s...
I suspect that the ticket is to Stratford because Advance tickets to Liverpool Street were 'sold out' but were still available to Stratford and so it is a far cheaper option. Happens to me frequently with 'near the date of travel' bookings for Norwich - London.
Why the journey planner then...
Just to point out that using the Barbican exit is taking you even further away from Great Portland Street (at Barbican it's about a 2 mile 'overshoot'). The travel time is about 6-7mins longer via Farringdon/Barbican than via Paddington. That is offset by the difference between the...
Yes it is westbound.
Changing at Farringdon is 'overshooting' Great Portland Street by about 1½miles (!) and coming all the way back though. Paddington is the 'obvious' place to change. It's step free from Elizabeth to H&C but quite a distance, so maybe that's why you're looking at Farringdon...
