I had 8 or 9 spelling/grammar mistakes in my app to northern for conductor and still got an interview.

I applied for newcastle and mine says shortlisting too. I got an email on 20th feb to say I should hear within next couple of weeks.

sorry to hear that, I'm thinking the same as you about a career on the railways and it probably not happening for me. I have outstanding apps with TPE and XC, then after that I'm off to work for Stagecoach as a Bus Driver.

I applied for the Train Manager position for Newcastle and it had a closing date of 22 Feb but its been removed from the site. Anybody know why? Job no longer up for grabs or have they just received enough applications?

I applied for Carlisle and haven't heard anything yet. So is there still a chance for external trainees or is what was reported earlier that all positions are to be filled by qualified drivers?

Not yet. Until I get feedback probably a waste of time because not sure where I went wrong.

I asked for feedback and they said yes then didnt hear a thing from them. Been 8 weeks since they said my feedback would be provided within 3 weeks.

For trainees external and internal im sure it said 4 feb, but they took that down and I didnt print it out so I could be wrong.

Didnt it say on the vacancy page that successful candidates would hear on 4 Feb?

Is this the same with every toc and foc or just db coz thst is a lot of money to pay back?

Im in the same boat, just discussed this with the wife and i'm going to apply and we'll relocate if need be, providing they accept applications on that basis.
