Blog Article: Direct London-Aberystwyth services with new Aberystwyth-Carmarthen Line

Why on earth would an OP not want people to discuss their idea. It has been discussed, so what's not to like?

Blog Article: Direct London-Aberystwyth services with new Aberystwyth-Carmarthen Line

That's interesting. We Welsh are in quite a unique situation. You would never have people in the north of France saying that they have more in common with people across the border in Germany than with people in the south of France, and nor in most other countries for that matter. I suppose I...

Blog Article: Direct London-Aberystwyth services with new Aberystwyth-Carmarthen Line

What do you all think of the idea in that article that it would lead to customers having a choice of company on the London-Swansea rail corridor, which there isn't at the moment:

Blog Article: Direct London-Aberystwyth services with new Aberystwyth-Carmarthen Line

Blog Article: Direct London-Aberystwyth services with new Aberystwyth-Carmarthen Line

But do you not see the benefit of maybe having two regions of Wales being connected to each other by train? Even if having through trains is not feasible, surely having an Aberystwyth-Cardiff welsh train would be good? And don't forget that Aberystwyth has a large student population and a...

Blog Article: Direct London-Aberystwyth services with new Aberystwyth-Carmarthen Line

Here is a new blog article that has just appeared, arguing that there should be a direct London-Aberystwyth service, and that it should run on Aberystwyth-Carmarthen line if and when it opens: https://politicsbyrebuttal.blogspot.co.uk/2017/12/london-aberystwyth-direct-trains-should.html What...
