Went from Waterloo to Southampton and returned on the same day on the 444s. Absolutely horrendous ride quality but definitely got worse over the past few months! Could this be due to track deterioration?
Have to second that
I recently drove a manual Golf not too long ago, having only driven autos since I passed my test (parents lives in Hong Kong). Tried to do a 3-point at what I thought was a "quiet" residential road, And I didn't know how to put the car in reverre… had a few confused...
As I use the ELL to commute to Croydon, I have noticed in the recent weeks that trains on the Croydon services has been cancelled during peak hours.
Could this be related to the high utilisation rate of the class 378, or am I just really unlucky that West Croydon train is the first one to be...
I currently hold a GRC from my annual season ticket on oyster (hence the oyster is linked to the GRC, and no Photocard was ever issued)
My question is, if I want to get the 34% national rail ticket (eg Southern) with my GRC, do I need to get an extra Photocard to prove that I am the owner of...
The London Bridge slow line corridor is one of the big losers in this change in my opinion, New Cross Gate losing all fast service (rendering the lift useless) and appalling services to East Croydon and beyond. It is frankly unacceptable.
A simpler way: just take a bunch of kids to one of the WCML fast platforms e.g. Milton Keynes, pretty sure that is scary for a lot of people, not just kids!
The company I work for (international civil engineering firm based in Croydon) did the design of the bridge, but I guess the design is influenced by client's decision making. And yes, a lot of the structural designers are still working for the same team.
The problem of the bridge is that it...
Exactly! Making people to change trains at a station where there is narrow platforms with no step-free access as well.
Also the ELL has twice as many trains at New Cross Gate than Norwood Junction
West Croydon Starter are already packed, can't see how is it going to cope
Great service at New Cross Gate for the East London Line commuters towards Croydon
No fast trains left (NONE!) and no service during either peak.
Why they can't fit a call on the Epsom trains :(
Does this also mean the lift of the fast platform is to take the title of "the least used...
Was on a PM peak 1755 from East Croydon, and around 20 people got off, people seems to already know the train has an extra stop at London Bridge and were preparing to alight even I was still doubting whether the driver would release the door!
I think for this occasion, as it was a disruption on LO's fault, I have managed to get a refund on the alternative route taken as there is a clear travel pattern on my journey history, which the customer service person identify as well.
