When I was doing my 250 driving hours with a driving instructor last year, we managed to some trips down to Salisbury.
It didn't take me long to work out some codes for back home.
158+9 Super Sprinter Destination Codes:
094 - Birmingham
007 - Aberystwyth
747 - Shrewsbury
097 - Birmingham New...
I do that sometimes.
It does work on 455s, as the interlock is operational on his/her local doors when the DKS (door key switch) is not active in that cab. When running ECS under DOO conditions the driver should activate the DKS in that cab to be able to see that the blue interlock light...
390s are leased to VT by Angel Trains. Source
Angel Trains is a subsiduary of Willow Topco for accounting/tax purposes it would seem. See page 42 of this PDF file
How does your Voyager from Telford get there? It would have to come empties from a depot/sidings. If its coming from the East (Oxley/Wolves/Birmingham) it would probably have to go all the way to Shrewsbury or do a shunt somewhere (Wellington?) to be on the UP Line (towards London line) at...
5% on the first £2000 of takings and 8% on anything above that in a 4 week pay period.

SWT are doing 12 courses in 2012. One class of 12 drivers every month. Supposedly they still won't have enough productive drivers to cover the 35 hour 4day week when it starts in December 2013.
Hello
Drove a double Hounslow rounder yesterday afternoon. Quite a number of photters at the London end of Queenstown Road and at Clapham Junction. Any idea what they were waiting for?
Between Basingstoke and Bournemouth (and presumably at Guilford for the daily Newcastle service) XC stock formations are displayed on the platform CIS.
I don't know if this is done in other areas
Over on the TOC I drive for; we're instructed to make our initial brake application step 2 or equivalent (stock dependant) and adjust as appropriate. The sanders will not automatically operate when a wheel slide is detected in brake step 1 on our 455s or less than 50% braking on our Desiro stock.
Can the reversible not be utilised a bit more? I often wonder - when I'm an Up Windsor - why I'm crawling behind a Kingston rounder at Queens-town Rd and why I'm not just sent up the reversible.
I read somewhere (twitter perhaps?) That they only ever base the pretendolinos workings on 390 timings. So they always input it as 390... could be wrong.
Zero
There no vacancies currently showing on the SWT Recruitment pages.
Many SWT drivers from other depots put in for moves to Salisbury and I do believe there is a waiting list. There are also always a number of guards waiting to step up to the drivers grade at Salisbury. I hear that...
I think you've got yourself slightly confused.
Firstly the cost is out-stripped by the potential benefits. A one off £145 for a job worth anywhere between £38,000 and £50,000 per annum... You do the math!
Quite simply, It doesn't. It depends which TOC/FOC you're applying to. At Southern...
