Visited Nene Valley on Saturday and all seemed well. They had used the Continental carriages for driver experience runs during the week.. The Mk1 train was in use on Saturday. Tornado should leave the N V R under it’s own power..

I remember that when Thameslink 12 car trains were first introduced a despatcher was positioned by the drivers cab and gave a green flag indication to the driver to confirm all was well before the train moved off. i imagine as a confidence boost..don’t know how long it was done for..
