8.08 falk g to edin park is 2 158s and 3 170s ie 5 coaches and is usully standing. If the service from cumbernald is running some people just say screw it and wait for that.
Seems like u are just lucky.
The 385s on fh line are palacial in both number of seats and legroom. Very rarely need to stand. Is so depressing haveing to use the dunblane to edinbugh. Esp when some of the 158s used have the deep veign thrombosis richmond seats. Defo a postcode lottery they run.
Well said mate. What an attitude. attitude of either a train buff or someone in the trade trying to ignore criticism. Appalling. Perhaps a new non trade site is required? Us customers just like it and lump it?
Have to say the services i use are much better since new timetable. Thanks scotrail. Was wondering tho the 8:08 Falkirk G to edin park, will that eventually be 6 electric carrages instead of 5 diesel and if so when? Anyone know?
Hmmm. Sorry but this all has the feel of too unlucky to be so unlucky. An airline or a shipping company would not get away with this level of reliability of their kit.
So do i but there are so many factors that can mess up a plan when the underlying infrastructure is already at max capacity.
If for any reason a 158 is on that line and is delayed. A problem with one of the older trains etc.
Key thing is the system is not being operated for the important thing...
Correct mate. Have said before and will say again. Scotrail only care about EG and faster service there. Tbf that is scrot gov direction tho.
Lots of trouble ahead . Have little confidence service will be good even with the new trains.
The 158 seats you refer to. Are those the Richmond monstrosities? The dunblane service has those. If you sit at a table and the seat opposite is occupied you need to sit side on with legs in the aisle. Whoever thought up the 158 Richmond scheme should be sacked.
Exactly my point. They should not be here just to batter for those travelling between queen st and haymarket. Except they are really the way they are set up. So I ask again. Why are glasgow qs and Edinburgh haymarket /waverly getting preference with the 5 mins off nonsense.
That's no use tho. U will still have the challenge of getting to Edinburgh park. That may be less of an issue once the new trains are functioning but until then ep passengers are stuffed.
Oh they care about eg main line alright. If they really had the full passenger experience at heart tho they use that capacity in a better way by Stopping every second train via fh at edin park. Dont know if the likes of bishopbriggs need that as well.
Have u ever tried getting on the dunblane...
Well they are in trouble then. Even with these new train there will continue to delays and cancellations. Not to mention not being able to work on train cause of short forming. Time is money supposedly.
You really saying 5 mins off a 50 min journey matters?? Seriously?
The railways being run...
As someone who just wants a timely train service between falkirk and Edinburgh park (along with occasional football related trip to glasgow) with the chance to get a seat on maybe 80% of journeys I have to say I reckon scotrail priorities are wrong from passenger perspective. Why 385? Could...
