TOPS Requests (including headcodes, allocations, traction, etc) [Instructions in Post 2]

Good evening everyone, I would be grateful for the unscrambled headcode for the RTT working below from yesterday (locos were 66016 and 66301) http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/H80165/2018/02/05/advanced Photographed around Abington, South Lanarkshire...

    Caledonian Sleeper discussion

Following my previous rant over sleeper pricing policy..... I return to happier ground with a picture on my Flickr account of 73967 running light yesterday from Loughborough to Craigentinny. Not the greatest shot ever but it was nearly dark and I couldn't find a back lit location! I also have a...

TOPS Requests (including headcodes, allocations, traction, etc) [Instructions in Post 2]

Good afternoon everyone. I may have a few requests over the next few hours so please bear with me. Firstly can anyone please advise the Cross Country unit employed on yesterday's 1V64 Edinburgh Waverley to Plymouth service? I am never good at identifying these units as they hide the number...

Thank you for this link 158820. Perhaps the fares will follow suit once they are running empty trains to Aberdeen.

Unfortunately those of us business travellers who cannot claim fares back are now being forced elsewhere. A 50%+ hike in fares for me is intolerable. I would love to see what would happen if a TOC foisted that sort of increase onto a run such as East Grinstead to Victoria then explained it by...

Good evening everyone. Forgive me if I am not totally up to speed with all the in's and out's of the Caley Sleeper routine. However I happened across this image on Flickr this afternoon of 92014 in CS livery doing the cars run. Has she been in for mods and is now trying her legs on the main...

Good afternoon everyone. Can anyone please advise on unscrambled headcodes for two workings yesterday. Both were captured passing through Monifieth and involved SBRail Switch and Crossover Tampers. http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U74067/2017/12/22/advanced...

Proof of the (pre-Christmas) pudding is in the seeing this time! 67007 up front today on 5Z25 Inverness to Polmadie captured on approach to Blair Atholl. Thanks for advance notice of this one Scott - gave me a chance to rearrange Christmas shopping venues to be in the right place...

TOPS Requests (including headcodes, allocations, traction, etc) [Instructions in Post 2]

Good evening everyone. I have a few questions to ask tonight so please bear with me! My first concerns two workings this afternoon which I presume are route familiarisation training for Scotrail drivers using the revamped ex-GWR HST units. RTT lists the following working which is diagrammed as...

Many thanks to Mark and Tim for their help in sorting this one out. Apologies for delay in my thanks but it has been a bit of a busy week! I also now know that the yellow wagons are used for SITT trains - Snow and Ice Treatment Trains. Every day is a school day in my world! Regards Sarah

It was definitely 10:33. Just checked the time my ticket was printed and that confirms it. Printed at 10:18 and there is no confusion just now between Zulu and BST! :D

I am fairly confident I didn't imagine it! :D I only saw the corrugated side panels of the 66's as they passed but they were deffo top and tailing those strange looking yellow wagons. I am sure those wagons were lined up in Tonbridge Yard a few weeks back.

Many thanks for this information Chrisncal. I noticed the movement on RTT detailed as an EMU. Unfortunately when it appeared the rain was bouncing down straight into my face so there was no photo opportunity.

Tim, I am fairly sure that they were GBRf. Wagons definitely looked like those in the referenced image. Not even sure what they are! Regards, Sarah
