Been waiting since June so not a massive amount of time but still would be fantastic to be able to plan ahead for the remainder of this year and next.

Would be nice if they called anytime.... my phone is permanently glued to my hip so I’m unlikely to miss it. Optimistic about this year but I’ve settled on the fact I’ll probably get a call next year....

My medical was 7th June...... DMI was 2 weeks prior

Same time as me then..... Yeah I'm surprised more people haven't said about calls bearing in mind there's 20 or so that are awaiting Bedford.... Go for the earlier date then???

I left Bedfordshire Feb this year after 6 years. Really wasn't sure what I could do as its really all I've known since joining at 20 but I'm in a good job and awaiting this one shows there's life after Policing

Im 35 miles south of Bedford....reading past posts it all sounds like good news if they are "looking" at dates for courses :)

I applied Nov, got my 1 assessment date in Feb and 2 in April was all done beginning of June

Sorry only get snippets of info about Bedford as I know two that are currently in train. One nearly finished and one just started in May. If I hear any info about Brighton or other stations ill post it on here.

I too remain hopeful that a course in Bedford will come about this Oct but from what i understand from friends currently working there they are understaffed, as im sure most other depots are through retirement etc. so im sure all Bedford applicants will be required :D

I can honestly say that leaving the police after 6years was the best decision I ever made and i look forward to my eventual career as a train driver. Like most would say the job isn't what it used to be and general morale is so low I'm surprised more haven't left.... I currently work within...
