What you have done is removed your access to the account. It still exists and the Trainline will be able to see you have "deleted" it. But, you are not the first to have done this.
Found in some family photos. We know that he was a train driver and lived in the Edgeware area in the late 1940s through the 1950s but beyond that have no idea where this is. Many thanks in advance.
Maybe I am misunderstanding your comment, but I've never had a problem knowing which platform my train will depart from if the station has fewer than two platforms.
Please can you explain this statement as I don't understand it.
It reads as though they already knew your address which can't be right. Alternatively it reads as though you gave them your old address and then told them that wasn't your address.
If you told them straight away, are you...
Something printed out is much easier to read unless you have very neat handwriting and you keep it very short. Make sure you quote any references and staple it to the letter.
This may well be the first time that you have forgotten to buy a ticket, but would suggest you re-think your statements especially when you reply to the letter you receive. I am bemused that you think you can prove that you always buy a ticket. I think you can only prove that you have bought...
I'm sure that most people would rather not have to pay as much as they do for their tickets, so instead of seeing this as "pay thousands in fines" just see it as paying back all the money you should have paid in the first place (possibly at a premium fare, but that is because it was your choice...
I think you are going to need to be much clearer and explain in more detail what has happened.
How was this resolved? An out of court settlement or a conviction at court?
Was that a letter from the court?
That doesn't match up with the letter about being taken to court. A set-aside and a...
So, all that they are going on is that the ticket was scanned at a time when it was impossible to have held the ticket when the journey started. It is possible (but exceedingly unlikely) that there is CCTV evidence of who scanned the ticket. But now, they have an admission (via email) of who...
Do they not? Do they not have a finance team who can check if payments/invoices etc are paid? Can you explain how you know they don't?
Are they not able to pursue it as a civil debt then?
If I had £2,166.60 of valid claims and yet they only paid out £1,229.55 I'd be chasing them for the missing £937.05. A 56% success rate seems strange. Why did they not pay out 44% of your claim value? And if I regularly took photos of my tickets in case I needed to make a delay repay claim I...
I am confused. Your dates do not seem to make sense.
One month's free travel would be 17th March to 16th April then three months half-price travel would be 17th April to 16th July. You were stopped on the 17th July.
The trainline will still have access to your deleted account. The normal thing for someone to do if a phone is lost/stolen would be to change their password, not delete their account though.
Most likely this can be resolved without you ending up with a conviction, but some context would be helpful. At this stage we have no idea whether you were stopped and you didn't hold the correct tickets, or whether someone else was stopped but gave your details and you know nothing about this...
They presumably have no evidence that you have travelled using the tickets you have purchased. You may therefore not want to respond.
I would hope you could have worked that one out. Selecting the correct railcard would be advisable - and maybe buying your tickets from a different retailer.
Lose the excuse that you were unaware of the railcard expiring and that this isn't your fault. Railcards existed long before emails existed and yet we still knew they expired. When you bought the Railcard you knew it lasted for one year. and of course it was you who gave that email address...
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
