Yes so I don't have a problem as I wont be based at a London depot.I was just wondering if you have to live within 30 or 45 minutes of say Waterloo then its not feasible with just a slightly better London weighting.

Thanks for all the replies. If I was based at Waterloo the tfl journey planner says I am 44 minutes away by train,but aa route planner says 1 hour 20 minutes drive and the distance being 18 miles. As I would only drive there in the small hours of the morning it would take a lot less time than...

So how is that going to work if you are based at a central London depot and to live within 30 minutes costs an arm and a leg?

Is there a standard rule about how far a driver can live from his depot, or do different TOCs have different rules?
