There's a disused line running off the Medway Valley Line between Snodland and Halling (i.e Holborough) towards some long-gone works of some description to the West.
A large roundabout has been built (at least 10 years ago) in preparation for the arrival of an access road to a development...
If I travel by bus before pick up at the station I usually get my £1.50 automatically refunded. Not sure where they draw the line or if this approach has changed recently?
I am part way through making a scenario and have discored that the tracks for platforms 4/6 at Cardiff central are two close together... i.e if you have a train running into 4 when 6 is occupied you get a collision. Same with platforms 3/4. At newport. Considering the amount of work that myst...
AFAIK tickets from any significant distance the other side of london into kent and vice versa are valid on hs1 hence 'any permited' which is not included on tickets just between kent and London. There may be an issue however in that Marden is some distance back towards London from Ashford... so...
Well yes I did notice that so probably didn't word the last post in the intelligent sounding way:oops: but that space is already largely used by the current passengers.
Obviously all this work is having to be done enhancing what has been there for over a hundred (in some cases 150) years so...
I think Crossrail and new destinations available via thameslink could mean more ppl interchanging at Farringdon which will require some serious crowd management. With the exeption of the extra 4 carraige lengths added under cowcross st the platforms are too narrow.
Better circulation within...
Hopefully will be sorted by 2018?
What concerns me is crowding and confusion on the platforms. Already a bit hairy at Farringdon now at peak times when things are running a few minutes behind. Passengers might need a bit of instruction about where to stand when waiting for their...
I travel via South Bermondsey frequently and have recently noticed you can see concrete pillars/piers in the distance - probably for one of the ramps on the London Bridge side.
The first, single track bit on the other side comleted last year is too far away to see from here as you pass on...
Peak time Thameslink sutton/sevenoaks services sometimes have first class accommodation but not advertised in timetable as such. I regularly get on at Farringdon at 1817 going to Peckham which often has this. It does get very busy between Blackfriars and Peckham but have not heard anything...
What grinds my gears is the announcements for short platforms on ELL. You get told that the platform is short in about three different ways before it gets round to telling you which carriage you are in (when it tells you in numbers not first/last as in preceeding part of the announcement). By...
