    Guess the Train...

For the record, I was the one who guessed Mark 3 coach. Anyway, I'm guessing a class 314, based on one of @FelixtheCat location

When was the last time you Visited the Cinema (and what did you watch)?

Just saw Detective Pikachu earlier on today during my stay in Edinburgh. Prior to today, the last film I saw at the cinema was the second Fantastic Beasts film. I visit a cinema maybe twice a year perhaps, it all depends what’s showing really. This year has some big releases coming out so I’ll...

    Trivia - northern unit liveries

Well Greater Anglia seems to be the biggest offender when it comes to multiple liveries across its fleet, maybe nowhere near as much as what you saw with Northern. Their class 321s have the biggest variety of past liveries, they currently have: Nat.Ex stripe, Renatus livery, GN/FCC, plain...

What coach operators currently operate which National Express and Megabus and Citylink coach routes?

Interesting list. Any idea when the 594 switched to the Bruces Coaches (Shotts) banner? I'm a fairly frequent user of that service between London and Edinburgh, and I seem to remember not that long ago a driver telling a passenger that the coach was operated by Go North East.

Railway stations you think need a refurbishment

Well to be honest, it shouldn't have been razed and rebuilt in the first place. The original station building should have been given an extensive modernisation plan to bring it to the new age while still retaining it's Victorian architecture just like Liverpool Street or St.Pancras for example.

Railway stations you think need a refurbishment

This. Seriously Euston is the gloomiest, most depressing station that I've ever had to use, whatever they were thinking back in the 60's while rebuilding is beyond me. Thankfully most of the major London terminals were saved from acts of vandalism like this.

    First Trip On A Desiro

As a frequent traveller on both the 360's and the 357's, I'd say the 357 offers the better ride quality. They seem to be quieter inside as well, no noisy air-con like the 360. To date, the 357 is the ONLY Electrostar class I have been on since their introduction nearly 20 years ago, not sure how...

    Ugliest Train in the UK?

I just don't understand the hate for the 360, they are among the best looking units running on the network. The inclusion of a end gangway would have ruined its looks and it would've looked out of place on the GEML where no other classes have them either.

    Favourite train class

Past: Classes 310 and 312 Present: 315, 317, 345. GA class 90 with a rake of Mk 3's Future: Looking forward to trying out the 745's. If Bombardier can get their act together then maybe the 720's also.
