I didn't realise you had 2 different interviews? What is the difference between the 2? Do you have 2 interviews for all TOC's?

Congratulations and good luck. Only tip I can give you is literally revise every night in your hotel room and get some small cards to write bullet points on like bell codes etc

Thanks for clearing that up. Any idea how much on average you get each year up to the 3 years? Is it a full rules exam? Are they done each year or is it like NR every 6 months on certain rules?

That's why I'm confused as it also sais the pay goes up after completion of training (3 years) ? Thats why I'm confused, is it 12 months or 3 years? :)

Just out of curiosity, from your own experiences and from things you have heard, which would you say is the best TOC to work for in the north west and why? Also, which depot is best to work from? Including First group, Merseyrail, Northern

Thanks guys, just wanted to check... What happens if you apply for them and you get interviews etc? Will one interview cover both vacancies and will they choose which depot to base you at? :)

I have noticed 2 Driver jobs have come up with Northern on the website, one for limes street and one for Blackpool. I cant work out if it is for a trainee driver or for one that is already qualified. Does anyone have any idea? Many Thanks :)

Hi, new to the forum but have been a reader of it for a while. I am still waiting for my status to change from 'awaiting shortlisting' from about 3-4 weeks ago. Do they usually take this long or could there be a problem? It's for a driver vacancy. I don't really want to email them just yet...
