The problem is, the brake installation is always the last thing that can be tested. The compressor needs to be fully operational, AWS and TPWS need to be installed. The boiler needs to be creating enough steam for the compressor etc etc Only then can the brake tests start. Any delays with the...

It has been a while since UK Rail Leasing took over the depot at Leicester. What sort of fleet do they have now? Are there locos painted in their owwn colours or do they remain how they found them? How is the company performing?

Yeah, seen that. But how does it work? I know the more water there is, the faster it pops/ticks sometimes so fast it makes rude noises which is why some people refer to them as far valves. How does the disc with the groove in it let water out of the system but keep air in?
