That line is doomed, I'm afraid. There's a similar shorter route between Celje and Zagreb which has the same issue.

Will it be taking the Maribor-Celje-Dobova route through Slovenia? I hope it will make some stops as it could be quite attractive for Slovenian travellers as well.

Limerick Junction really is utterly bizarre. I couldn't think of a more inconvenient arrangement (especially the now-discontinued Waterford Bay), but nowadays there's a new platform so southbound trains on the mainline can actually call without crossovers.
