Looking at Flightradar24 it shows the outbound craft BA872 diverted to Warsaw and the BA873 now scheduled for early on the 18th. ? I know you mentioned fog, looks like it may have affected your flights? Hope things get moving soon.
According to Flightradar24, BA283 for 8th January has provisionally been allocated G-BYGF.

There is of course no guarantee the aircraft will not be changed.
Enjoy the flight!!
Just for info, the PIN code for the ATM card I use (a non-UK HSBC card) is 6 digits, If I use my HSBC card in UK I need to input the 6 digits. No idea if it is relevant but may explain why there is space for more than 4 digits.
Still remember the first time I went to NZ in 2007, flew AirNZ from HKG-AKL on the LHR - AKL via HKG flight (NZ38/39 ??) and it was great. B747 "Dunedin" on the outward leg, fantastic crew, fantastic service and a great country to visit. On the way back, (can't remember the plane reg) our...
For the suburban DMUs they approach they need sent to SN. Similarly when ready for departure they go from SN to the down lines. You can use 'Z' to toggle between the approach and station screens to see if any are scheduled for departure. Might cost you a minute though.
I have a number...
Currently in New York having arrived yesterday from Manchester on G-VROM an 18-year old B747-400. I realize after that flight why I never fly Virgin any more, my goodness the cabin service was painful. Virgin were a great airline in the 90's but the airline mindset seems to be still 25 years...
The '84 TT shows the fastest fasts took 90 minutes (calls at Woking, Guildford, Haslemere, Fratton, Portsmouth & Southsea), back in '75 they took around 92/93 minutes (calls at same as above except some omit Woking).
I cannot possibly comment on how many times 'friends' have bought a ticket on Cathay Pacific from Manila or Bangkok (both about 2 hours flying from HK) to London via Hong Kong for this exact reason. Tickets each way, for example, to Manila from HK can be had for about £30 if you are lucky yet...
Narita still has a viewing area, at least on T2 where I was, not the best but OK. Haneda is closer to the city and has some good spotting areas too apparently. I took the NEX into and out of town from Narita for 4000 Yen round trip. Stayed in Yotsuya, Tokyo is great for trains too. I was only...
Back from a little 3 day trip HK to Tokyo on Cathay, such a great city to visit.
CX524 was the outbound with B773 B-HNP doing the honours. Great flight with 3 seats to myself to get a bit of sleep on the overnight flight. 8/10
CX521 as the return with A350-1000 B-LXK the ride. Not the best...
