The service was mentioned on Wikepedia a while ago, and I saw the Walsall train in late 2013/early 2014 at Stetchford. I couldn't have read 'Wolverhampton' as I was actually travelling on that train.
The only trains I have seen are:
A special excursion train in 2007
A diverted Virgin train in...

2. There is a extremely infrequent service between Birmingham int. and Walshall. I have only seen it once.
