Southern have now sat down the E Grinstead line for the rest of the evening due to power supply failure between Sanderstead and Oxted.

I thought it was a basic CCTV camera that recorded video of the lights at the same time as the main crossing CCTV, so red light jumpers could be proved incorrect if they claimed the lights weren't showing. There's normally only one of these on one set of lights on each side of the crossing.

Our house is just south of Hurst Green junction, and alongside the EG line. A train has just headed towards Lingfield.

Is the monitoring therefore a case of the equipment detecting an obstruction where there isn't one as opposed to it not detecting an actual obstruction?

They've recently moved the 4-8 car stops on the down platforms at Bromley South further towards Bickley. Station staff tell me that had problems with longer formations stopping short. Whilst I understand the reasons why, it now means it's only the very last door of a 4 car unit now stops...
