I have had it happen to me also. The train would just start in reverse all by itself. I cannot remember which route or train, but if it happens again, I will write it down.

Be sure to go to the OpenBVE site and copy down all the instructions. You will have to download a couple of open source programs. I did step by step what they said on the OpenBVE site, and I sucessfully ran a route on my first try.
