I thought the 1st interviews were on Monday 30th? Not even 2 and a half weeks ago. Just looked back through this thread and nobody had reported an interview before then.
Maybe I've got this wrong then. Although recruiting a qualified driver is a completely different proposition.

I've got no problem with people doing what's best for them and theirs. I was just giving my opinion on how it's likely to be seen from the LNER perspective.
With 1000's of applicants, and likely 100's of those capable of doing the job. Why would they invest in somebody that has clearly...
I did suspect that there would be something in the contract to stop this sort of thing. They need to protect their investment, and rightfully so. It seems questionable to ask somebody to invest a lot of money in you, then run off into the sunset without repaying any of it?
I'm getting a bit ahead of myself but following on from some of the chat earlier,
It would make perfect sense that they wouldn't be interested in somebody that is willing to do that to another TOC. What's to say that you wouldn't do the same to them?
I hate to be a spoil sport but I'm inclined to agree, (even though my interview is Thursday.) At the minute it's a level playing field, and we're having to show some initiative in our preparation. Not really fair on others. Perhaps a little too nice of you Ludus? Feel free to private message me...
I have somehow managed to get a telephone interview, only got to 20 on the checking test. It was my first time doing anything of the sort, I didn't think that would be good enough after seeing the scores on here. Contrary to the general consensus, I thought the VR seemed fairly straight forward...
This is my first application so maybe I’m missing something, but aren’t the vast majority of interviews for jobs awarded from just a CV? Also there was a question on the application form which I personally put a lot of thought into answering. Waiting to see if it was good enough.
Hi, I’m looking at the GTR website and the recruitment process suggests that the next stage will be to complete some online assessments. Can anybody give me a heads up on what tests to expect should my application be up to scratch please?
