If you read the email they've sent out, the reason given for the withdrawal is "Network Rail have had to withdraw this vacancy"...

Cheers! I'm assuming both Fife Circle and Perth-Ladybank are for diversionary purposes?

    ScotRail Conductor - Aberdeen

Hi all, there's currently a vacancy (vacancies?) open for Aberdeen with ScotRail. Can anyone advise which routes an Aberdeen guard will sign, other than Aberdeen-Glasgow/Edinburgh?

Could you define 'expired' - did you do two of the tests last year or something?

Well done and congrats! I haven't been able to observe any patterns with regards to when they'll get back to you. I'm told different hiring managers have different sifting standards, so it's just a waiting game now. They keep the results for 12 months on file, but you can re-test after 6 months.

Only the situational judgement isn't timed. If I remember rightly you have 19 minutes to complete 20 math questions.

Ah okay. Cheers for the replies! NR doesn't do travel expenses either, does it?

All the best! SHL Direct's own website has an extra test. The key is work accurately - it's okay if you leave a couple of questions unanswered!

    Network Rail Interview

Hi all, I might have a chance at a couple of Network Rail positions. Would it be possible to do the interview by video call, or must I attend in person - as I'm not in the UK right now? Cheers

Yep. Fingers crossed for you! I was told I'm put on hold, so I guess the chances aren't particularly high - all the best though!

Indeed it is - try scrolling all the way to the bottom? The upgrade at the weekend seems to have messed the website up slightly, now you have to scroll to the bottom of the page, and then scroll down the list a bit further.

It's the same for me, I've applied before this was changed to a 6 month FTC. Unfortunate - but my advice is get your foot in the door first! Also, does anyone know if it's possible to retake the assessments, ie verbal reasoning + maths? I feel I've done poorly the previous time and I want to...

Thank you! I'm not bothered whether I become a proper signaller at this moment actually, getting a foot in the door matters more especially when there's so much competition with externals!

Hi all, just a heads up that the whole NR job search is currently unavailable. May be worth checking in tomorrow or the day after. If you have the job detail pages open, the submission process seems to be alright. Quite amusing to see stuff from October appear for a while though! Edit: the...

I think it's just a fault, the only two jobs available includea one that expired 4 months ago. Perhaps if it's still not fixed later it might be worth calling recruitment support.
