Last weekend I went for a rail photographing trip on the eastern line. However this trip was very different to all other rail photographing trips. As I didn't actually ride the train to get to the stations. Instead I went by private car directly from my condo to both of the stations. Although...

2. SRT: Bua Yai Line and Chong Samran...
After spending a night in Kaeng Khoi. I was up at 5am and I made my way to the station to board rural commuter train number 433 at 5.28am. This train will take me via the Bua Yai line which branches of the main line at Kaeng Khoi. The Bua Yai line is an alternative route into Issan and is rather...
Last week I undertook a 45 hour long rail photographing trip to Kaeng Khoi Junction and Chong Samran in the highlands of Issan. This is the second time I have visited Kaeng Khoi. This time around I could photograph the various trains and workshop area in full daylight rather than at night as per...
Aircon that is broken on a long distance train.
Sardine Can conditions on intercity trains where its hard to just get a spot to stand on the steps.
Train Delays of any length
Crap low quality food at Rural commuter stations.
Intercity trains that only have 3rd class non aircon seats.
What would i be "Hardcore or know it all or just enthusiast"?
1. Going on a 22 hour non stop rail photographing trip that included staying awake photographing trains between 2am and 5am. Resulting in my best set of photographs.
2. Going on a 46 hour long rail photographing trip just...
Thanks again. By the way What is the distance between London and Preston?
I can understand the reasons for going with the train as you can get up and move around and the bathrooms are normally bigger than on the bus.
Although on the bus you do get to watch a movie where as on the train you...
Thanks for the fare information. I'm sorry I didn't really know what classes where available on the UK trains I just assumed a similar range to SRT Thailand but with different names.
What is surprising is the difference in travelling time between train and bus. Normally its the reverse i.e...
I cant really understand the UK ticketing system at so many different fare types that I cant workout what a normal Non aircon 3rd class seat fare would be for a Trip From London to Preston.
I'm wanting this information for a comparison purpose.
1. What is the cost of a standard 3rd class...
The Class 158 units normally operate in 3 car sets like is shown in the picture.
However the last carriage is rather blackened and looks really bad. It is possiable it might have been involved in a fire at some point but didn't sustain any internal damage other than a blackened outside. It...
The Class 158 owned by SRT rail have aircon.
However it is the crappiest of the lot often too warm I.e stuffy inside or down right not working. The small windows are a godsend on these DMUs as they allow some fresh air into the hot stuffy carriages.
This is a picture of a SRT class 158...
