Commuter put bare swollen feet on a seat and refused to take them down

I've had people smoking on board the Bromley North popper on the way up to Bromley in the past - as I've stepped off at Sundridge Park, I've let the driver know - he's appreciative that I've told him, but admittedly couldn't do much as he doesn't have a guard any more. Oddly enough, that was one...

    Class 377/5 Southeastern

Was impressed to see that my peak time Blackfriars to Rochester service has finally been bumped up to an 8-coach networker as of yesterday, up from the previous 6-coach networker that was running. Probably for much the same reason South West Trains (and other TOCs) never did-up theirs when they...

    Class 377/5 Southeastern

Even the recently-refurbished (blue) ones? They've been pretty consistently clean when I've been on them, and SE have also been true to their word in this franchise as far as keeping the toilets clean, stocked with water, soap and paper and mostly in service.

    Class 377/5 Southeastern

You'll principally see them working into Victoria and Blackfriars during the peak. Whilst they can work into Charing Cross, it likely won't happen very often. Aside from the green interior, they're not all that different from the 375s. The 376s would be a lot nicer if they were given some love...

    Class 377/5 Southeastern

I would expect they are to be cascaded onto other Southern services. It's probably what is also allowing Southeastern to take 377163+164.

    Forum Update

I'm glad you moved over to XenForo. It's my top choice for forum software nowadays. If I've got any suggestions, I'll pass them on.

    Class 377/5 Southeastern

Did the 377s need to be cleared before running into Charing X and Cannon St, or are they essentially "cleared by defacto" on the basis that the 375s are already good to work there?

    Thameslink/ Class 700 Progress

I'm a regular traveller of BMS to BFR in the AM and PM peaks and always try to grab the fast services that originated from Sole Street, Ramsgate, Dover or Ashford, etc. - That's one more bum that can find a seat on the 0818 BMS starter. But if one of the fast ones get cancelled, I end up taking...

    Evening lighting in carriages

There is a "Dim Lights" button on the guards' panels of the Electrostars - I've seen it used in the past when the guard has decreed that the weather is particularly sunny. It could also possibly be used in the evening if they so wished. But I usually find that the lighting on the Electrostars is...

    Class 377/5 Southeastern

Heard from one of my buddies that the 377/5 fleet is getting some software mods to allow them to be used in multiple working with the 375s. If this is true, it would make sense now they're in the process of getting all 23. If they can safely "intermingle" with the rest of Southeastern's 375s...

Does that headcode spell what I think it spells? :3

    Class 377/5 Southeastern

Yesterday PM's 1F93 and this AM's 1F93 were both sub'd with Networkers. Are the 377s that normally run this over at Selhurt for some work or something?

    Thameslink/ Class 700 Progress

I missed that one - thanks. They have these in Germany - spotted them on the Stuttgart S-Bahn on the S2 and S3. The DB Class 430s in particular.

    Class 377/5 Southeastern

As SE are now receiving more of these, will more drivers be doing a conversion course for them, or is that not necessary?

    Thameslink/ Class 700 Progress

Is it really the case that the 700s do not have their own ramps stored somewhere near the accessible loo, something that the 375/377s have been doing for a while? Even the 465/9s have one on board. That way, where a 700 stops, you automatically know that a ramp is available if it is needed.

Help with ticketing on Southwestern: Hersham to Vauxhall

This possibly should have gone into the Fares Advice forum, but anyway... Here's what I know: London Terminals (valid for Vauxhall) to Hersham: £2,244.00 for 12 months. Alternatively... Annual Zones 2-6 Travelcard: £1,648.00, plus a Surbiton to Hersham Season: £796.00. Total: £2,444.00. So...

Southeastern to Waterloo Mainline (29/8~1/9/17, next Xmas 2017)

Publicity has started appearing on the Networkers concerning the Christmas/New Year's Engineering works, using the same diagram before that indicates that Charing Cross and Cannon Street has "No Southeastern Services", and a dashed line heading to Waterloo indicating "Temporary Southeastern...

Southeastern to Waterloo Mainline (29/8~1/9/17, next Xmas 2017)

So, that's it. Southeastern will be back in their normal places as of tomorrow. I gave the Waterloo to Dover service a run on Thursday. It was certainly a nice change of scenery to straddle the South Bank of the Thames up to Battersea. The Linford curve was nothing particularly special, but did...

    Thameslink/ Class 700 Progress

Perhaps a pictogram of a ticket with "STD" would be more appropriate.
