Stagecoach are taking over London Bus Route 25 in the next few weeks. I understand they are introducing low emission buses with USB chargers. These could be the ones. Manor Park is shown on the window blind of the bus in the pic above which I’m sure is a stop on Route 25.
I tweeted them. They said “our eTickets are different to everyone else’s” and “you can’t change your ticket once you’ve bought it”.
Who should be policing National Rail ticketing? Transport Focus? ORR? Ombudsman?
It’s smart ticketing week next week:

The most interesting thing about that page is the emergence of a standard ‘smartcard symbol’ to indicate that National Rail smartcards are interoperable.
It seems as though all the TOCs are in the process of switching from print@home and mTicket to eTickets which will offer both options in one (though i’m not sure how clear that will be to Joe Public). I’ve only been able to glean that from reading this forum, there’s very little in the railway...
I can totally see why someone would switch to ITSO (for convenience / durability) and PAYG (usually cheaper, more convenient) but eTickets and mTickets, for me, there is no incentive.
It would save the rail industry a small fortune if they got rid of paper tickets but it doesn’t save me any...
ITSO is only really suitable for season ticket holders and PAYG only works in the SE so I don’t see paper tickets being replaced in the near future. What do you mean by barcode?
People stand in front of the bank of screens immediately following the gate line awaiting their platform to be confirmed.
In an airport, you don’t wait for your gate to be advertised before you pass through security, you go as far as you can.
Perhaps we need to create some kind of waiting zone...
I think people misinterpret penalty fare for ‘fine’. I think it needs to be rebranded the ‘on-board fare’. Perhaps make the ‘on-board fare’ double the ‘buy-beyond-you-board’ fare.
Everyone who prefers to buy on board will automatically pay the ‘on-board fare’, whereas if you’ve been able to...
Brighouse saw significant growth when the Leeds via Dewsbury service launched. Even though the Leeds via Bradford wasn’t very useful, this is still a retrograde step. Brighouse would really benefit from a second Leeds via Dewsbury.
Ian, I tried to use the machine at Brighouse on Sunday and the machine was frozen on the ITSO screen. I reported it to the social media team and they said they would log the fault.
Are there any plans to install a machine on the opposite platform at Brighouse (platform 1). I would expect that...
