Does anybody have any information about Eastfield signal box in Peterborough? From what I've read it doesn't operate the main line but operates the sidings, if that is correct what I've read, would it be very busy? Would it be manned 24 hours 7 days a week? Thanks

Very interesting! Great to hear the thoughts of a new signaller for all us potential signallers. I'm currently swatting up and getting a few examples for each of the NTS as I have an interview next week, my first time getting to the interview stage!

There is a box in Melton right next to the station, there is also a small manned crossing just outside Wymondham, Leicestershire. Wymondham is about 5-6 miles east of Melton, the crossing is on a little road running out of Wymondham to the south west. There is a Wymondham in Norfolk too but im...

LE14 2SD is the rough location of the crossing. I've driven over the crossing a couple of times its on a little country road just out side Wymondham.

Hi, I have had an email this morning saying I've met the required bench mark in the online test and my application is being considered, for Peterborough G3 and G6 positions. Does this mean I may get an interview? I still have this small amount of worry about it being 12 month fixed term...

Hi, Yes hopefully it is a 12 month apprenticeship leading to a longer term role, if not I'm sure with all the time and money NR have invested it would help to get a signaller job else where. Are you applying again? I've applied for both positions, fingers crossed! Just waiting to see if I'm...
