    Failed bourdon test

Nah you didn't slip through the net. The only reason the enhanced standard is there is because more people are passing the tests and the fact that the GBT is online

    Failed bourdon test

It changes all the time but GWR, SE, Scotrail, Northern, DB Cargo, Freightliner, DRS I think GB railfrieght for the Assistant Train Manager role and Colas rail take national passes. Southern and London midlands(or whatever it's call now take national but you also need the DFFT. SWR take...

Dispatch process in DOO with a dispatcher present on the platform

Thameslink there staff used to dispatch trains from Bedford, Luton, St Albans, City Thameslink and Blackfriars. The staff at Bedford and Luton still dispatch the East Midlands trains that stop there (I think) while the staff at other stations do customer care and other duties like lost property...

Dispatch process in DOO with a dispatcher present on the platform

I it's the TOC that decides and it's normally for safety. Great Northern got dispatch staff back at some stations due to bad lighting and the doo monitors being crap after the drivers raised there concerns, and another TOC got dispatch staff back to reduce dwell times in the peak. Trains with...

Dispatch process in DOO with a dispatcher present on the platform

It all depends on company policy and local instructions back in the day silverlink metro only had platform staff (dispatchers) at euston and watford jct where dispatch would be CD and RA indicators. On Thameslink 317 and 319 would be dispatch with dispatch batons and green flags in daylight at...

SWR: RMT ballot over role of guards *48 hour strike 8th/9th November*

What you have to remember about does tfl numbers is that most of these incidents where on a 378 and some were wrong side door releases. So it's a case of tfl using the numbers to bend the facts

What's the best train: Class 180 Adelante or Class 220/221 Voyager?

The good thing about a 180 is that it has a Guards pannel which is something a 220/221 does not have.

VTEC vs EMT - Train Manager

Both Interciy companies so you have the same pitfalls like football trains big delays and so on. Bigger route card at east coast and more staff on trains, so more variety east coast and a lot more money and I think the guards used to get more commission. You have less passengers on emt which can...

Why women do not work in railway

There's lots of women on the railway from Head office, Station staff, support staff Managment, Traincrew and Directors. Loads on Heathrow Express and like a poster said before the tube even a few freight drivers. I would think the intercity toc have more front line women staff.

    EMT and First Class.
