Wow! Well done all - I really have no idea at the moment which to vote for! This needs a lot of thought - only fair, as a lot of thought has obviously gone into these pictures.:grin:

There were 10 of us with no votes - so I also came last! Getting quite used to grubbing around at the bottom of the heap now - although I'm a little miffed cos I worked really hard on that cross stitch:lol: Never mind - there's always another competition next week:wink:

Just as a thought - how does next week's topic get selected? There won't be a winner yet this year to choose one, so do the moderators get to choose or do we miss a week? (And no, I don't want a sneak preview of what the topic'll be!):grin:

Just as a point of interest - how flexible are the rules? Do they bend a little, or do they bend a great deal? I've tried with my entries to stick to what the title, and the rules as I understood them, seemed to be looking for - and seen other photos allowed through which I would have...

That means loads of mine can now be considered for these competitions - I'd previously ignored anything without a train in it because they didn't belong. Wish I'd known sooner...:D

Could someone translate please? First sentence I can't follow at all; second sentence is referring to which photo? Maybe it's my age...:-?

No answer to the original question then - so I went to Wikipedia which not only gave me an explanation I could understand, it also told me which locos could work together in multiple (colour codes provided). A 47 and a 24 cannot work in multiple, but a 37 and a 24 can. Top and tail is a...

So how is anyone supposed to know if the locos/units are in multiple or not?

Suggest you read my second post there EE Type 3 - it was pointed out and I apologized for not seeing it - and then poked fun at myself because I wore glasses. Maybe you should get your eyes checked out?

I like it - and it will make it much fairer for the poor souls who were on page 2 before. Everyone now gets to be on the front page so we all get equal coverage.

Had to hunt but I knew I'd seen it on here - check out Comp 239: Night Shots - Jordy clearly states "Yes, all competitions should include a train unless otherwise stated" (post no 5). Maybe the rules have changed since then though, it was all of 2 months ago...!

So it does... and where's the train in no 15? No 3 is very nice - a real blast from the past.

Isn't that the coach version of the Voyager - oops, sorry, the Train-formerly-known-as-Voyager! Looks just as comfortable... I much prefer my 143s thanks - especially if I could have one with the old-style seats in please!!!

Love it - 143s are my favourite units (sad ex-conductor type!)! Not sure if I've got any photos though - major search time! Good luck all.

What's go great about number 12? Looks over-sharpened to me - although if it hadn't been so sharpened I'd probably have voted for it on the grounds of atmosphere.
