I got a "cab ride" on the Stourbridge Town branch once, although with 139s "cab" is a bit of a misnomer, the driver simply noticed me taking photos and asked if I wanted the seat beside his. A very nice gesture.

Well the capacity issue on the WCML is Rugby to Euston, while the flyover will improve speeds and pathing, it won't allow another train in to Euston.

This is what people who are so against cascades (and especially the D-Train) seem to ignore. The travelling public don't care if the train was built in 2015 or 1815, so long as it is clean and smart (inside and out) and gets them to where they're going in time.

Can't say I've ever stared into a cab unless said cab was unoccupied. As for cameras, yes, I take photos, and sometimes a driver is visible. I also occasionally take photos of streets which have people on. If you're in a job such as bus or train driver, it is not reasonable to expect privacy...

While I am of course in favour of disability modifications, it seems a bit odd that they're doing this when many Western platforms still have a 1ft step up and out to the train!
