    GWR Class 165/166 Turbo Diagrams

Only one Turbo on the Exmouth - Paignton services today instead of four. Presumably there are problems with the fleet?

GWR Class 158s being reformed into 2-cars

Thanks, most helpful. 5A10 has not had a good week, cancelled two days and Turbos on the other two.

GWR Class 158s being reformed into 2-cars

What is the 2 car diagram? As I understand it the three Tarka diagrams are all 3 car 158s - 2 start from Exeter Depot and the third from Bristol (05:25 TM). Then there is 2C04 06:25 EXD to Penzance. A 2 car 158 often pops up on any Exeter diagram when there is a shortage of other units.

GWR Class 158s being reformed into 2-cars

Does anyone know where the GWR 158s are now allocated? Exeter have some and Bristol the rest?

150202 - Where is it and what is a C7 exam compared to a C6?

Not sure how long the 150s will last, so any name change could be short lived...:frown: My last note of 202 in service is 18th February 2022 when it worked an Exmouth - Paignton diagram.

150202 - Where is it and what is a C7 exam compared to a C6?

Still no sign of 202 or 249 and 207 went to St Philips Marsh earlier this week and has not been seen since. Anyone have any news of these absentees? GWR are struggling to keep the 150 show on the road.

GWR Class 158 diagrams May 23

To enable me to monitor daily Class 158 stock allocations is anyone able to list the first working in each relevant diagram? Many thanks if you are able to oblige.

150202 - Where is it and what is a C7 exam compared to a C6?

Any update available for 150202? Also noted that 249 hasn't been noted working for the best part of 3 weeks; presumably on some level of servicing? The work on 202 must be costing a fortune. Are there any others that will need similar attention going forward?

150202 - Where is it and what is a C7 exam compared to a C6?

I now see that it worked 2M73, 21:08 Paignton to Bristol on Friday evening, then 5M73 to SPM.

150202 - Where is it and what is a C7 exam compared to a C6?

It was on Exmouth/Paignton on Friday but no record of any passenger workings since then.

    GWR Class 165/166 Turbo Diagrams

I quite agree that 4 x 3 car 166/165 have worked EXM-PGN services in the past but you have to go back to June/July time last year to find regular appearances, although there was one week in October when 4 worked for 4 days. In the absence of other explanations one can but assume that the current...

    GWR Class 165/166 Turbo Diagrams

166205 according to RTT. 1677947230 In recent weeks the number of Turbos operating in Devon had been one or two but from Tuesday (28/2) the number has increased to four. Today, Saturday, as posted above there are five, presumably the extra one possible possible due to Warminster-Salisbury being...

More four car 158s for Cardiff - Portsmouth services

I wonder what the average journey length is on the Pompey route? I bet it isn't 3.5 hours. The vast majority of Tarka journeys are end to end. Bear in mind that no Turbos are based at Exeter, and the number currently being sent down from Bristol is not sufficient to cover the Exmouth - Paignton...

More four car 158s for Cardiff - Portsmouth services

Many thanks HG for a superb reply. Much appreciated. Tarka passengers can breathe a sigh of relief.

More four car 158s for Cardiff - Portsmouth services

During the GWR Devon and Cornwall Webinar yesterday a slide was shown by GWR indicating that from May there would be more 4 car Class 158 services on the Cardiff-Portsmouth services. No indication however as to where the 158s are coming from. Possibly from the current Tarka line services? Split...

    GWR Turbos reliability

In a recent webinar Mark Hopwood made it known that he was unhappy with the reliability of their Turbos. My main interest is in the Avocet (Exmouth) line on which I have established that there should be 4 Turbos in operation Mondays to Fridays but currently it is generally just one or two, which...

    GWR Class 165/166 Turbo Diagrams

Firstly many, many thanks to JN114 for the information provided. In a nutshell it means that 4 of the 7 diagrams on the Exmouth Paignton lines should be Turbos of one flavour or another. That just isn't happening at the moment. The last time Mondays to Fridays we had 4 was 11th January. This...

    GWR Class 165/166 Turbo Diagrams

Substitute the word services for diagrams if that makes it clearer. I just wish to know which services are meant to have Turbos.
