    There are direct trains between Edinburgh and Glasgow Central to save the 5 minute walk between stations. Cross Country are roughly two hourly I think and ScotRail have frequent service via Shotts (takes a bit longer time wise though).

    My Local: Rutherglen Setting: A few minutes walk from the main street of Rutherglen. Only a 6 minutes walk from my home. (9/10) Architecture: A relatively dated looking footbridge across the WCML to access the station from the main entrance. An ok waiting room as well. (5/10) Services: 6 tph...
