The only other change that I didnt think was worth noting is the 63 will run at 1435 from Chesterfield instead of 1430. No mention of any other routes beyond that.

12th Jan Service Change Notices are now displayed on all buses, they could also be on social media but I am not on there. In summary:- 6 - Withdrawn except 0652/1545 to Chesterfied and 0755/1710 from Chesterfield 55 - Alfreton to East Midlands Outlet section withdrawn 170 - some early Saturday...

I showed the attachment above from Go Coaches to a couple of Hulleys drivers today and they have stated that its the first they have heard, maybe they arent allowed to say anything or they genuinelly dont know? Either way it seems highly likely to me that something is going off behind the...

    Stagecoach Yorkshire and Chesterfield

Respectfully I have to disagree, you will know where I work when I say the offices behind the Portland and I have a view of all buses going past during working hours. The 90/90A usually runs bang on time and like you I was apprehensive about the long circular route around Walton but passenger...

I could be totally wrong but if you look at the new 38 and 5 timetable, is it the same bus operating as per now but they have just split the numbers and found a way to run it within an hour? Absolutely agree though, I am not sure of the point of the new 38, I would also leave the current part...

    Stagecoach Yorkshire and Chesterfield

I get your point but for a town like ours to get an entirely new fleet (excluding what you have already mentioned) is brilliant! I also hope the new timetables are up soon.

    Stagecoach Yorkshire and Chesterfield

Intriguing. Hulleys have since gone round literally every bus stop the 6 will serve in Ashgate, all stops now display the new timetable from September which has certainly raised awareness. They have also done the same at the bus stops I have observed on Chatsworth Road with the new 170 timetable.

Thanks Teapot42, I am not on socials so I havent seen any of that

    Stagecoach Yorkshire and Chesterfield

Looking at those Chesterfield changes I was just about to say the suburb of Ashgate would be left without any bus services with the withdrawal of the no5, which is shocking in all fairness. However, having just looked on Derbyshire Councils forthcoming changes it appears Hulleys are...

I walked past Stonegravels depot in Chesterfield yesterday and usually where you see the vehicles parked for withdrawal, there is now a fleet of Electric Double Deckers. Are these the new buses for Chesterfield or are they off elsewhere? They do look very smart!

    The last coal train?

ITV Central News East have just run a short news story re this being the last coal train and the naming of the train to Ratcliffe Power Station.

Its obvious this has all been done very short notice but well done to all concerned for sorting it. Hopefully, the 120k will revert back to the 80, at least to Crystal Peaks at the next timetable change as Derbyshire are funding both. The 120k seems to have a really long wait time in...

First South Yorkshire appear to have picked up the 80 from Chesterfield - Killamarsh with Derbyshire Funding, no timetable yet available though https://www.derbyshire.gov.uk/transport-roads/public-transport/news-notices/bus-service-changes/forthcoming-changes-to-bus-services.aspx

RED and BLUE route on the Peak Sightseer sounds like a good improvement on last year. Just looked on bustimes, it appears some X17s will be diverted via Matlock Farm Park, they have been running a campaign for a bus to go by them for some time now so I am sure they will be pleased and...

The Ingoldmells service was surprisingly well used and as quick as the train from Chesterfield.

Is the 58 Macclesfield-Buxton the perfect bus route?

Whenever I catch it, this is the case. Majority of people travel end to end on this route, although you do get hikers and people using it locally in Buxton and Macclesfield but usually these passengers are by far the minority.

    Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Bus News

Press release from Chesterfield Borough Council today that to me doesnt actually announce anything new from last year. Whilst the 65 is a nice route, I wouldnt quite explain it as per quoted and I was hopeful the Peak Sightseer might go a little deeper into the Peak District this year assuming...

    Hulley's of Baslow (Defunct)

Absolutely agree, I saw both morning Peak Sightseers from my office window in Chesterfield today and they both had a good load on the top deck, bearing in mind we are on a midweek day at the back end of September, I would call that a continuing success. Why someone in Stagecoach marketing or...

Blimey! That Stagecoach update re the Service 90 has really hurt my head and I might have read it incorrectly but is the no5 actually now running at 62 minutes past the hour, not clock face hourly? Might be wrong on that Either way it looks like Stagecoach are losing interest West of...
