    Greater Anglia Rolling Stock Updates

Really? You can get to a lot of parts of Essex from Norwich in under 90 minutes. It’s only about 55 minutes to Colchester.

    Greater Anglia Rolling Stock Updates

Is the Norwich to Cambridge services being run by a class 156 or 170 today? Just need to plan what operator I will be using.

    How to find permitted route

The routing does come up as a ticketing option. I was just wary that a ticketing officer would find it odd that I went that way.

    How to find permitted route

I have gone on to this site: http://data.atoc.org/routeing-guide How do I find if my ticket is valid via a particular station? The site is too confusing. My route is Norwich to Stansted (not valid for London Terminals)

I’m not sure talking about pubs is back on topic. Thanks for the dig, sorry I couldn’t post an opinion that is along your views. But as this is a forum I am allowed to give my opinion.

So it’s all based on circumstances. As I say I think Norwich deserves better.

    Greater Anglia Rolling Stock Updates

Well there’s places like Braintree that are served by 4-car constantly. I can’t imagine it’s crowded. Based on experience the Norwich train is never empty.

    Greater Anglia Rolling Stock Updates

Well I think a place of 210,000 deserves more than a 2-car gas guzzler.

Well the Cambridge to Ely services are often 8 car. It definitely deserves more than 3.

    Greater Anglia Rolling Stock Updates

Don’t think there’s anything wrong with complaining about the trains in Norwich. Cambridge and so on has a superior service (most trains at least 8 car), don’t see why Norwich doesn’t.

    Greater Anglia Rolling Stock Updates

Well I will be taking East Midlands trains tomorrow. Not going through that again.

Wonder where the 170’s went then? I see the line is closed today, aswell. So not sure what has been going on.

    Greater Anglia Rolling Stock Updates

4 cars is long for Norwich and is usually the standard for an EMU rather than a DMU. So one could say the EA people now have a superior product over other regions.

    Greater Anglia Rolling Stock Updates

Awful experience today on Norwich to Cambridge and back. Horrendous 2 car class 156 with fumes coming through on the way back. Got GN from ELY on the way but no such luck on the way back. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to make a connection on to the East Midlands trains service. Can’t wait to...
