Lots of disruption today:
points failure at gatwick reappeared in the morning
9v37 had a DOO fault and then a brake release issue that meant it sat in platform A for ages until rescued.
Level crossing failure at Mitcham Eastfields
Passenger collapsed on 9V66
a couple of potentially suicidal...
A question has come up recently that I am wondering the answer to with regards to Network rail station staff, I know st pancras staff are employed by high speed ltd, with other stations like euston are they employed by infrastructure limited or stations limited, or any of the other subsidiaries?
The hoarding is for material storage for installing the harrington humps. Unfortunately its only going in along the core so is going to cause issues.
Whereas as now wheelchair passengers have to come to us to ask for a ramp, and then we know they're on the train to call the destination station...
New Eurostar livery on the 373s just with the yellow area and overhead warning line as they are on the original eurostar livery. looks so much more right to me.
(Apologies for my appaling paint work)
Having done work experience at eurostar a few years ago, I worked at Ashford, and briefly at Ebbsfleet and St. Pancras. At Ashford it was actually fairly common for people to join at Ashford rather than Ebbsfleet or St. Pancras where their ticket was for. The reverse was also true in that people...
technically true but because the train always runs as two half sets coupled together and are numbered accordingly so it's not incorrect to call them centre cars seeing as when in service they are in the middle.
Also while hurst models can make the others, I can't remember the last time they...
Disappointed by the Eurostar. Seems to just be a re-release without any of the improvements that it really needs. Not to mention that we're still stuck with only 4 of 18 passenger coaches.
there you go. the pantograph should be the other side and the mission accomplished coach should be the other way as well.
I haven't checked but i assume the other coaches to be under the same situation.
Is the graffiti really that big of an issue when compared to startford International?
When the visitors and tourists arrive to a station who's walls look like this: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0d/Eurostar_at_Stratford_International_stn.JPG I would have thought that graffiti...
Hi,
Does anyone know if cross country are still running the wifi test on their trains. If so, does anyone know which services they are running over the next week?
thanks
like you said not many people can run a full pendo or 125/225 but the option is there for those that can. Besides, like i said there are only three cars missing and two of those are basically the same expect seating. so they'd only need three new different products.
the kit is from hurst...
I know! Even putting aside all the other things that are wrong with it the fact you can only run a six car eurostar next to a full 395 or that you have the option to run a full pendolino but not eurostar seems absurd to me.
ok, so my wishlist:
a completely overhauled, up to date eurostar. (there is so much wrong with it i could start a whole topic :P) (maybe with a promotional livery version like the da vinci code)
the missing carriages for the eurostar ( there only really needs to be 3 new moulds since r3-5...
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had/knew how to get orthographic views of eurostar including the ends of the coaches without the corridor connections and bogies. I am trying create a 3d model that i can use to 3d print and cannot find any.
Thanks
