    Southeastern Maidstone - Blackfriars 2022.

    1) This week the timetable is modified due to the Brighton mainline block, the Sutton terminators in the bay go back to the temp timetable from around the beginning of Jan 2) The trains listed are all one circuit - they form the next train listed. Hazard a guess, one of the SE services take up...

    Southern peak services to Guildford

When I was going college back in the mid ‘00s, I used to love getting the Guildford service off London Bridge (sometime around 16xx?), was pretty much one of the only way for me to get on a Southern operated 319 around that time. If I recall correctly, the Southern Guildford services were to be...

    East London line woes today

Only information I can find is that 9D15 has struck a large item in the Surrey Quays area, therefore has caused some congestion all over the place

Should the West London line (Croydon to Milton Keynes) be part of Thameslink?

Its the crawl through South London from Clapham Junction to East Croydon which would make any extension to stations beyond East Croydon to Redhill/Reigate/Tonbridge/Gatwick Airport very unattractive.

    East Croydon

    1. (Pretty much answered by the above) Safety - How busy the station gets, the curvature of platforms (some platforms have 4 staff for a 12 car), 2. Delay Attribution - they note down when the train arrived and when the wheels start moving - if there is any delay to the dispatch of a service...

Which is better and why - over head or third rail electrification?

Not 100% relevant, but there was the flooding in the Clerkenwell Tunnels in 2015 caused by a burst water main that damaged several ThamesLink trains after several went through it (OHL section) SOURCE But I guess that sort of damage could happen to any train regardless of traction (isnt a...

    Southern Class 455 PRM modifications

The rear unit of the Caterham 455s will be locked out at Purley/Caterham, the 455s heading down the Tattenham Line are only going as far as Coulsdon Town (in normal service) - not sure if they'll also be locked out on the way down or not as Reedham and Coulsdon Town platforms should be long enough

    Affinity for a particular station

For me, I always had a soft spot for London Bridge, as a kid (in the early 90s), I would travel to Victoria most Sundays with my family, so any time we went to London Bridge, it was something different (I also really dislike Victoria for some reason). Also the whole novelty of having a "Terminal...
