    Thameslink Services/Timetable from May 20th 2018

Thameslink 13:44 was 14 minutes late at Hitchin to Cambridge due to "Train crew being delayed" - presumably by being on another late running service prior to leaving.

That's great, but there is no alternative for the stations on the GN Cambridge branch, its a monopoly. You have to use Thameslink services to get home, OK you can get to Cambridge by going via Liverpool street, but that still doesn't get you to say, Letchworth. Hitchin could be a solution, but...

    Thameslink Services/Timetable from May 20th 2018

Thru the core might be OK statistics wise, but further out on GN, it more often than not turns to chaos, particularly on the Hitchin- Cambridge branch with only 2 tracks and no passing places.

Far from apologizing for ThamesLink we need a plan of where we go from here, especially when the school holidays are over, and everyone is trying to get back to work !

Why don't through trains run to Cornish branches?

And don't forget the "Atlantic Coast Express" through coaches to Waterloo , without changing - ahhh Progress....:-) Cleethorpes I think was the only actual full train that ran long distance from Exmouth on occasion, although I remember travelling on a "excursion" to London when I was very...

All this seems to be so self inflicted - I've never known anything like it!

What I'm struggling to comprehend is a problem in or near Brighton ( or anywhere south of the the river come to that) totally decimates for hours the service on the Cambridge line through Baldock - this never used to happen before - as in previous post if they run more and more trains through...
