Thank you, that does make sense as on the ticket it says it is valid until the end of the month which I didn't realise that's the option that I selected. Perhaps I am being stupid. but there is a overwhelming array of different prices and options and booking websites (companies). That made...
Hello all
I have emailed LNER this, however they have not responded.
Basically I have booked tickets for 2 passengers , return travel to Exeter from Darlington so I have 4 tickets / bar-codes in total.
I have made seat reservations, for both journeys and they have emailed my tickets me. on the...
If it's anything like the "Real" WRW, then they won't achieve their object for many years (if at all) and will have some volunteers/staff of the rudest kind.
This is just my opinion, and may not be of others.
There was also a turbo related fire ( I think) near Durham a few days ago. This will have caused delays on the ECML.

There is also signal 951 on the D'ton to Stockton line, which controls the exit from the Cleveland Bridge site, the track has now gone I believe (the track is still there, to just in front of the signal, and the lead in is still on the main track. but the signal is still there. and as the points...
Hi apologies if this is a silly question.
Every time I visit Edinburgh Waverley (admittedly not that often) there are a pair of 90's stabled up. Do they ever move?
This was taken in September 2019
I don't know if this would count, Signal T888 on the northbound platform at Darlington Railway Station. this picture is looking South. I don't think I have ever seen a movement facing south on this platform, There are shunting Signals attached so I don't think it would be used for that...
Agreed, I would love to go back. Some of the staff/volunteers where great. But I won't go back because I know for a certain fact these people in question are still there. (I saw them on a recent Organisational Youtube Video)
I was treated like ****, and other where, so as such they lost a...
No, I know when people are downright rude, especially when saying to another volunteer (a young lad) "For ***** sake, show this idiot how to couple a train" and (to me) "Well what the **** are you telling me for?" when I was trying to follow procedure.
Then being accused of stealing, and not...
I was on a 142 from Thornaby to Darlington, 10pm on last Saturday night . I didn't get the full number (too much drink) but it was definitely a 142 :-)
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this here....
However, your photos and history descriptions, are 1st class I thoroughly enjoy them - thank you!
Hi all
This is my 1st foray into a video of something. (not the best as taken with a mobile phone) however it's a video of the UoSA passing through Darlington with a 47 as support.
Many Thanks
This was so my experience, I suffer with anxiety, and using my love of all things "Railway" thought that this would be a good way to help me and meet new people. I was so shocked at how rude some of the volunteers where, and that fact that new members where more of inconvenience to them, it...
Wensleydale Railway. Linked to the ECML carries (or used to, someone feel free to correct me) armoured vehicles for the Army stationed in Catterick Garrison nearby. The Station at redmire has Ramps to the tracks for the unloading of vehicles.
Bishop Auckland / Darlington to Saltburn for plenty of 142's. Thoroughly recommend the route all the way to Saltburn as you skirt round the old British Steel site. I took this picture from the Darlington bay's waiting to depart to Saltburn.
The ride very bumpy, and flange squeal a plenty as...
