Spotted a regular First liveried E400 in the Bath bus station as I went past it now. But didn’t catch the fleet number or reg. Anyone know if this is a new to the Bath depot, or from Wells’ on the Mendip routes?
638 seems to have hopped over to the U1. Did 410 up around 1430, great engine, albeit slightly whiney compared with the usual B9. But was very capable up Bathwick!
She sounded absolutely fine when caught 9th October on the U1, so surprised to hear! But good they've saved it.
Caught it around 15:00 from Oldfield up to campus. Almost empty, and good speed all the way. Surprised about the near disaster there... good on her for keeping going. Unlucky in...
Caught 32003 for the first time in well over 1.5 years today, U3: great sounding machine. Definitely has a few more years left in her. 32014 sounds similar, but I recall 32015 being temperamental 2017/18, might still be the case.
That said, the worst of the lot used to be 32002 with its cooling...
10179 without a shadow of a doubt sounds the most healthy. But it’s had its tantrums, including one the other day on the Friday night at the U3 campus stop. 175’s pretty much never been VOR AFAIK, and I’m surprised 10176 isn’t given more appearances. It seems to be the one used most like a...
Well if citaros are due, will be welcome too I'm sure! The last stagecoach (non-artics) ones in London (my main stomping ground) left at the start of the summer - best batch of Citaros to have set foot in London. Absolute tanks. They've been exported somewhere (23101-23113) far and mysterious....
Adding my tuppence to the Scanias on the U routes in Bath.....
I say bring them back! What a treat they'd be, compared with the MMCs. Take off like lightning compared to the ADLs, and man could they climb Bathwick! Still remember the likes of 36813-816 appearing on the route once or twice as...
Caught a glimpse of 37415 too.... 33946 has made today's sole 400MMC appearance, with the rest as 32014, 32343 (a must catch with its over-revving beast of a B7TL) and 37416. Aiming to catch the latter two
455 is a beauty!? The first time I caught one in my early teens, I was aghast at the look. The livery never helped...
Being used to 313s and 321s, it was certainly a shock.
The annoying thing about the smaller buses for students isn’t the fact they’re small and they get fewer people on. It’s the fact that the driver will still wait at the stop with the doors closed, packed to the brim, until it is it’s scheduled time to leave. This causes horrendous queues behind...
Both 66885 and 66938 on U1 evening shifts, and still haven't been subbed! Both on the schedules for a shift till 3/4am it seems. Although always potential for a midnight sub.... Glad to have caught 66885 during the evening peak, absolute beast.
I’ve just caught it! It’s tracking as 66881 for some reason. Not only, but is this now based at Bath? Seen an E400 in mendip livery several times at the bus station but never on other routes
36231 on tow on the A46 this evening, around 1930. A fair bit of Bath traffic using Pulteney Road at that time too it seemed.
36229 on the U1 in an absolute state inside. Guessing it did a school journey on the 19 earlier, according to the tracker?
The saga with all of those coming on and off was a nuisance, as I'd been chasing them all day/evening.... in the words of Tornado922, today, let's see what shall turn up!
