    Commuter traffic may have dropped but that route gets a LOT of tourist traffic, mostly going between London, Windsor and Oxford.

    Brundall Gardens managed to get through the year with a drop of just 1%. The only station on the network whose figures for the year are actually similar to those for the previous one.

    That, if you miss your stop or get on the wrong train, the train is going to turn around and go back again for you. And the way to signal that this needs to be done is to kick the door a few times, or push the button to open the door while the train is moving.

    Has the speed restriction been lifted in places? RTT is showing trains doing PAD-RDG in 24 minutes, which is not possible at 50mph.

    Staines, perhaps? Especially when you consider that the trains terminating there are coming from Reading, not from London. The quoted post is tongue-in-cheek, but there used to actually be one (or was it two?) in the morning out of Paddington that terminated at Twyford before running empty...

    Before the lines between Bedford and Hitchin and between Bourne End and High Wycombe closed I'd imagine that there were quite a few people travelling between those stations by train. (I can't comment on the Northampton ones as I'm not familiar with the area) A better example might be Aylesbury...

    The Henley branch has a single train to Reading which gets in at 00:42 (00:25 on Sun morning, 00:03 on Mon morning). You then have a 5.5 hour wait (or 6 hours on Sun/Mon morning), before the first northbound Cross Country. None of the others mentioned do.
