Was planning to go on the Friday and Saturday,but the loss of 41001,together with rumours of the class 44 being dodgy,make it look like a one day event for me now.

Totally agree regarding Wetherspoons - wouldn't use one if the beer was free. However,it's "horses for courses",as with so many things. Regarding stations convenient to centres - Gloucester is excellent,just the opposite to its neighbour Cheltenham.

What sort of charge are we talking about here ? I don't have any cards and have never used one of these machines so I have no idea of what sort of charges exist.

When the additional car park in Great Western Road is opened (later this year) there will be access to platform 4. This, I understand will be barriered, and a ticket machine provided. Toilets and buffet over the bridge I'm afraid.
