TfGM Bee Network - fleet discussion

Its not impossible that TfGM could get there hands on those as well, as presumably stuff from Stagecoach Manchester will replace the 15 regs at Abroath, so there is nothing to stop TfGM negociating with Stagecoach similarly for the others, particularly as Metroline is about 200 units short, all...

TfGM Bee Network - fleet discussion

Its the first batch, the second batch remain with Stagecoach Scotland East. This has been expected now for quite a few weeks, there will be a gap amongst them, as one, 13042 was destroyed in a fire in Dundee last year. These are what are coming 13041 SJ15 PUY/13043 SR15 NKW, 13044-13058 SJ15...

Interest in buses and the autistic spectrum

Autism isn't easy though, there are many setbacks with it, I just have had to adjust to take every day as it comes and not expect a lot. Buses, like I said before from the age of three have been my hobby, I suppose one or two trates of the bus enthusiast is in Autism as a trate, e.g. collecting...

    Bus Manufacturer News & Discussion

In an article I read on here in the TfGM Fleet News section, it specified that TfGm would have to dual source orders to meet their needs, between Alexander Dennis and Wrightbus, so presumably further for TfGM are in the pipeline, especially with their Target for Electric Buses instead of a...

    Bee Network fleet speculation

School Contracts Just a few questions about school contracts, First of all what are Diamond and Go Ahead going to use on their newly won school contracts in South Manchester? Also do the school vehicles last the entire length of the contract with each operator from the start, or can they or...

Interest in buses and the autistic spectrum

I am Autistic as well, I like my hobby of buses, trams, trolleybuses and coaches, but have not really been able to engage outdoors really with it, due to being long term out of paid work. I enjoy having transport books though, and I have a very large collection of them. Autism and liking buses...

    First Group: General Discussion

I would of thought it would have been best to have kept the existing logo, which is widely recognised, rather than introduce that awful logo, that just doesn't do it any credit.

TfGM Bee Network - fleet discussion

There is an article on Metroline in Buses October 2024, it appears at least some or all of the Volvo BZL's, MCV's ordered by Stagecoach for Stockport depot are now diverted here for Hyde Road and Tameside depots, including 6 of the single-deck versions.

TfGM Bee Network - fleet discussion

Who says the BZL's will enter service at Middleton? It might be easier and simpler just to put the order back, till the depot is ready at Stockport.

Of course thats a mistake it should be 24 regs, thanks for that.

TfGM Bee Network - fleet discussion

I would of thought Diamond will need to order new vehicles, or bring some in from elsewhere, shortly, as the 73 reg and 74 reg Enviro E200MMC's are already allocated to the routes they already have. On a different note I was told last week that Go North West Enviro E400, 3119 Y 7THG has now...

TfGM Bee Network - fleet discussion

What types of decker can they actually use on Vantage routes, as busway systems in the UK are generally only compatible with Volvo and Scania vehicles, the exception to this so far was a batch of Dennis Tridents with Plaxton President bodies which Lothian buses modified to use on the Short lived...

TfGM Bee Network - fleet discussion

As far as I am aware nothing at Wigan can be electrified, as the depot has not been selected for conversion to electric, only routes based at Bolton in Go North West for the moment can be made electric, what will possibly happen is that these will be replaced by former Diamond North West Wright...

TfGM Bee Network - fleet discussion

It would be unlikely they would be passed to another Bee Network operator, simply because they are not owned by Stotts but are leased, so the leasing company will take them back.

TfGM Bee Network - fleet discussion

Yes that is also likely, they are now old technology and something that Stagecoach probably don't want anyway, and based on the fact that some of the Oxford examples have also been sold for scrap, its very likely that these and maybe others drafted in, could end up with Metroline.

Manchester Metrolink - Speculative ideas on how to improve it?

There is no longer any tram track in the former Weaste Depot, as most of Weaste depot appart from the frontage, the clock and the side facing Eccles, was demolished and turned into flats around 20 years ago or so.

    Scottish Bus Group reorganisation

Yes it was all done in advance of Deregulation in 1985/6, my father worked for a Construction Company who were re-doing the runway at Glasgow Airport at the time, and I would spend school holidays with him. I remember going into Paisley and seeing buses with Clydeside Scottish logos and Best...
