It is with great tradgedy to announce that Beamish Open Aire museum was unfortunetly involved in the fatal accident of a 7 year old boy on 22 July 2012.
The accident involved 7 year old Karl Doren who fell from a steam roller in the museum, as soon as the tragic accident occured the museum...

Im sure the T&W Metro cars have a TOPS classification, something like 999 or 996, something along those line's.
Did the Isle Of Wight units not have Tops classifications aswell?

Well, the withdrawal date has been put back AGAIN, this time due to waiting for paperwork for decommissioning, apparently now next week along with several other T68's...i wont say which incase they get put back again
Its either out of service now, or very soon, what ive heard is that its had its ATS stripped so that 3024 can come into service,

Only M5000's 3001-3012 came fitted with the ATS, 3013 was Retro-fitted when 3001 and 3002 were out of service, 3014-3016 have been retro-fitted for the South Manchester Line opening and now more M5000's are having the ATS fitted to carry on service+the Oldham line.
