VT have had RP staff for a couple of years now, often 2 of them on early morning departures from Preston on Southbound services.

Everyone has to do SHL tests and I think, the top rated marked applicants go through to next round which is assessment centre. Your SHL test results are not disclosed but are valid for a year at least, so if you apply for another role you don't need to do this again. Good Luck.

Hi FS, If you are shortlisted with Scotrail and fail stage 1 or 2 of the Train Drivers Assessments then you cant apply to any company for 6 months. If you pass your assessments but don't get any further you have to wait 6 months with Scotrail only. You can apply to any other company and...

Thinks its DBS men on the hunt chief but DRS are always looking for qualified at Carlisle. There was guys at the interviews from Plymouth, Weymouth and Blackpool , all travelling at there own expense !!

There appears something strange about these trainee jobs in Dumfries as I have heard some internals, were also unsuccessful . If true ,I think it could be that the jobs were filled by qualified transferee's or even the jobs themselves, were transferred to Ayr depot who cover G&SW turns already...

Anyone on here been and past their Train Driver Assessments and Drivers managers interview with Scotrail, then just listed as unsuccessful ? I know a few have been put as application on hold. Has anyone just been dropped after passing everything ?? Donachie.

Was it the new style Drivers Psychometric Test you sat Donhamer, ? If so, I think your pass will be considered in this application. If not, you possibly may have to re sit.
