Have any of THIS design been installed on NR? All the LED signals I've seen have been of the type where all the colours are put through a single final 'lens' (or 2 for 4-aspect signalling), rather than separate single-colour outputs.
AIUI ('Modern Railways' article at the time??)...
The point I was trying (rather badly) to make is that I can 'tune out' the soothing female auto-voice, but I get worked-up about *any* stumbling, badly-explained manual announcement by a crew member (which is 99% of them).
Maybe I should just take more Valium before each journey:-)...
No - still the same. And still the same poor attempts by traincrew over the PA system to alert us to the fact. Why don't they get the nice auto-announcer lady to make a standard announcement?

Don't seem to be any more details on the web yet. Keep an eye on...
Any news when this will be reopened? National Rail realtime website has been saying "December" for months - not many working days for the average civil engineering contractors left!

Network Rail must have read my post :-)
Following press...
No way it would be returned to action there - the line is controlled from West Hampstead Signalling Centre. But the box is a listed building (ex Midland Railway) so couldn't be knocked down. Glad NR is looking after the structure instead of allowing it to rot.

If St Pancras domestic/MML is electrified still, it's to allow FCC Thameslink diversions. May well be necessary during the TL upgrade works over the next few years.
And they've got to do major things at the concourse end, to cope with streams of commuters. At present everyone has to go down to the basement, and back up again!
