As much as I don’t want it to happen I can see the flex project getting cancelled. Looks like for sure they have missed the testing deadline & I bet northern already have a plan B in place....
Renatus programme in my opinion should never have happened if they were planning on replacing the whole fleet. A class 455 style refurb would have just been fine for these units
Replacing the 365’s with 319’s would be a complete waste of time and money. Think of driver training and of course the contract they have with porterbrook to lease the 319’s
I agree. Can’t wait to see what the interior specs are going to be. Euston seems to have new LNR branded signs on the ticket machines & ticket offices. Not as nice as LM ;(
I reckon the units that have gone for part refurbishment will probably stay that way for the rest of the franchise. Only thing that will probably change is the stickers inside.
This franchise is all a mess. Would be much easier if they just keep the London Midland brand & just change the green stripe to either purple or dark green to represent LN or WM :-) problem solved.
Starting to think the franchise has gone back to LM. Seeing loads of staff with LM name badges & uniform and the conductor today again said welcome aboard this LM service
Would have been better if WMT just had a renatus class 321 style livery for all the units. Or just replace the green with a red stripe instead of this horrible purple and gold livery
