Even the chippy at the station closes about 20' after the lunchtime scotrail service arrives. so you can't even wait in there. We had to sit on the platform for ages as most of the town is inaccessible for a wheelchair - saw the afternoon Jacobite come in though - which was nice

There's a good cafe at Inverness bus station (just around the corner from the station) for a coffee and cake, and an M&S opposite the railway station so good for some percy pigs!
