Derby to Westminster on local bus routes only

I’ve made it from London to Manchester in a day just on buses. I could have made Blackpool but there was no way of getting back to London. Think it cost me about £30 in bus tickets.

TRIVIA - Longest distance with ONE bus ticket

If you buy a dayrider gold in Oxfordshire it states on the bottom of the ticket that is “valid in all Stagecoach buses in the South (expect the X5)” which means the Dayrider Gold has a validity from Dover in the South to Leicester in the North, even though I don’t think it is possible to do that...

First South West (Kernow & Buses of Somerset)

As the bridge btween Carlyon Bay and Par has a triangle road sign on it, it’s only an advisory sign so the buses can go under if they fit, there are many examples of this including in Oxford where the bridge at the station is marked 13ft 6inch but 13ft 9inch Buses drive under with no issues. If...

    First Group: General Discussion

DDA doesnt apply to what kind of service it’s registered, it’s what vehicle is used. Those panthers that were used on the X30 were fully DDA complaint and had to be as they were built in 2008 so would have been fine past 2020. If it was down to what the route is registered as how does the...

That won’t change as the UK will still be part of AETR (The European Agreement Concerning the Work of Crews of Vehicles Engaged in International Road Transport) which follows EU driving hours after they leaving the EU.

Splitting up long services to avoid EU driving hours regulations

Once we leave the EU, we will still be part of something called AETR (The European Agreement Concerning the Work of Crews of Vehicles Engaged in International Road Transport) which follow EU driving regulations, so CPC and EU Driving Hours will still apply.

London bus ticket machine and Concessionary passes

We take a load in the South East of London, even on non cross country routes. Your be surprised how many passes are used before 09:30. However an OAP in Westerham was shocked when i told him he could use the 246, 1st bus to last bus 364 days a year, so yes some don't know still.

London bus ticket machine and Concessionary passes

An ENCTS pass is valid on TfL buses 24 hours a day. If the pass is from outside London they show it as the oyster reader doesn't take it but soon it will, and we will push the green general pass button on the ticket machine, so the driver was in the wrong. If it's an OAP I won't call them back...
