Yes, obviously I can't guarantee anything but we try to get every available trolleybus working over the weekend. Recent years have seen between 11 and 14 Trolleybuses working. Generally run 3-4 at a time and rotate throughout the day.

Your best bet now would be to try and make it accross to Trolleybus weekend, 23rd and 24th September, museum is open 12-9 on the Saturday with buses running to Lowestoft and Beccles.

Very interesting documentary. Made some very interesting points about how the Orsdall Curve is a failure, and the demonstrating of the issues faced by passengers. I'd say it's the best documentary we've had in recent times about the state of the railways.

Any recommendations for spotting it on the circular Doncaster to Doncaster leg in the morning? Preferably somewhere with an easy place to park.

I'm looking at travelling from Doncaster to Sheffield, then Sheffield to Leeds before returning to Doncaster. I wish to stop in Sheffield and explore the tram system before continuing to Leeds. I am traveling on my own and gave a 26-30 Railcard. What's the best ticket(s) for my journey?

It's very impressive what can be achieved on such a small site. The expansion is coming along slowly but surely! It has to be one of the largest museums to open using entirely volunteers.

Or depending on bus times, change at Beccles and walk 10 minutes to the bus station for a bus from there. X2s also stop at the Carlton Crown a short 5 minutes walk away. Bus connectivity is a lot better now than 15 years ago...

The best thing would be to focus on increasing capacity between Ipswich and Norwich. Grade separation at Haugley and invest in 4 track between Chelmsford and Shenfield should be prioritised to increase the capacity.

Following a discussion with a friend this weekend. Is it hypothetically possible to run a steam special through the channel tunnel? With Tornado I believe being fitted with ETCS compatible technology, would it be able to pull a rake of high spec Pullman coaches through the channel tunnel...
