In some ways there would be some savings, as it'd be a single service being registered rather than two seperate registrations. As for the tendered stuff, I reckon that Metro would be supportive of retaining as many services as possible even if it meant requesting merging two tenders together to...
The N10 - Take it up with Wakefield Council, I did back in 2017 when I was pushing for a smallish nightbus network for West Yorkshire. At least one out of four routes suggested actually materialised, the other routes suggested were a Wakefield - Five Towns circular, Wakefield to Huddersfield via...
I would have half expected to see the 87 being switched to run Saturdays (or Sunday's) and extended to run from Huddersfield what with it coming up to Summer, rather than being withdrawn.
Realistically for South Pennine to save cash would be for them to streamline their services e.g. the Elland...
Which would be the case (sadly) for further strike action.
The other option would be to roll out these things which don't need any staff at all (apart from three people in a control room to oversee the operations)...
Image shows two doubled up AdTranz C801 Automated People Movers in use on...
I still think a half way solution in regards to staffing would be for the eastern side crews to route learn the Blackpool South line so that the York to Blackpool North services can alternate with Blackpool South, thus providing each line with a two hourly service but still hourly to Blackpool...
They shouldn't be anywhere near the railway in my opinion, makes you wonder if the bloke lied on his CV to bag the job.
Stick the clown on a free one way holiday to eastern Ukraine or to Tehran, it might just wake the moron up.
Great English Railways? In a red, white and grey (chainmail) livery - yes please.
It appears that we'll have to bin Scotrail and Transport for Wales too in the interests of fairness.
Metro - Here to get you there. Can't get a stronger brand and tagline than that, the brash red, blue and grey brightens up a dreary looking town centre and screams West Yorkshire's public transport network where as Weaver Network doesn't.
Then there were MetroTrain, MetroConnect, MetroRural...

I have a vauge idea of the area due to the type of job I do (logisitics).
The railway station of the same name, could always be renamed Stoke Gifford (Bristol Parkway), whereas Brabazon really could (or should, to avoid confusion) be named Brabazon North Filton.
The M32 was suppose to go further into Bristol by terminating at the former roundabout outside of OVO...
Its making me wonder if the replacement coaches from Manchester Airport are turning off at junction 24 before heading down to Rastrick Sun Inn then turning right and through Fixby to Bradley Bar before heading down to Brighouse railway station that way. As I saw one coach the other day heading...
In the consultation I've suggested keeping the station but relocate it to the recently reopened line (the one via Pineapple Road) as it would create new links especialy between New Street and Moor Street.
Could this be down to the fact that Councillor Hinchcliffe has since lost her seat in the recent local elections? Meaning that Braibin will now have to work with Reform, a selection of Independents or Lib Dems.
For the matter of clarity - Calderdale has no Conservative councillors, Kirklees...

It commenced in 2024 as part of a wider refresh with the other Devon and Cornwall trails. You can also get yourself a T Shirt too after collecting 10 stamps.
Just be wary that the Exeter Brewery...
Its possible for services to be split since both Brockholes and Denby Dale have a single platform, will Northern temporarily split the service and busitute the Brockholes to Denby Dale section?
I don't think anyone has mentioned it, The Ale Way at Axminster.
Tiny micropub on the Exter bound platform which serves a rotation of real ale and is also part of the Salisbury to Exeter rail ale trail.
